Video Forums
You have a voice and we want to hear it!
Starting today our members will be able to embed videos into our forum discussions. Okay, actually, you’ve been able to do this all along. However, no one has chosen too. Why? Well, I’ve been wondering that very thing. Maybe it’s because no one has asked or we all feel like we don’t have anything important to say. Rubbish.
I would like to encourage you to help us in developing this resource. God has invested talents in you. He has given you unique strengths and insight… experience. Our communities will benefit from what you have to say. As our community grows and more voices are shared we will begin to develop a more dynamic resource of free training material from people who are in the trenches doing ministry.
So, consider yourself invited. The door is open for you to share in this new innovative training. Here are some easy first steps:
1. Create a short video (keep it under 5 minutes).
2. Then follow the steps in the FAQ section to upload your video to one of our sites.
3. Embed it in your blog, forum, profile page, group, or event. You can even post it at other sites.
Don’t bury your talents in the sand… get your experience embedded into our community so God can use you to help others become better ministers.

Well, it’s been busy… what can I say? We now have a video chat room at all of our communities. It’s powered by TokBox and allows you to video conference with up to 16 people at a time… for free!

Two Circles to Connect
I wanted to let you all know about two new options at cmconnect.org to help you connect in two of the most important circles in your ministry.
One circle is your volunteers. We have recently created a Church Group directory to help our members connect with, train, and encourage their volunteers online… all free of course.
The other circle is the other Children’s Ministers in your community. We have created a free directory, under Resources, for Regional Networking Groups. My hope is you will take what you have learned and pour it into others in your community. (again, free)
Jim Wideman told me when we first met, “you increase our influence by the number of circles you belong to.” Well, he probably said it cooler than that; but, that was the gist of it.
One final circle, I know this makes three, If you want to connect with parents, take advantage of our other community: www.parentunity.org.

The Church Directory is now up and running at www.cmconnect.org. To find it, simply click on the CHURCHES tab.
Neighborhood Watch
Late last summer we adopted a set of community guidelines. The idea behind this was to keep our communities pure from those who were using it to spam and self-promote.
We depend on our members to help us out. To help you help us, we are creating a Neighborhood Watch system at each of our communities.
If you are getting spam or other unsolicited messages from our site, please report it to:
security@pureconnect.org
We will address the issue anonymously and make sure it does not happen again.
You have the power to control the type of messages you are receiving from our communities. If someone is blasting messages to you that are unwanted, you can remove them from your friends list, drop out of their groups, or stop following their forum discussions. It is really up to you.
We are working to make our community the best it can be. If we may serve you in any manner, please let me know.
